Live an Audacious Prayer.

Thanks for visiting my website! Here’s a little bit about who I am and what this site is about.

First and foremost, I love the triune God with all my heart, soul and mind. The simple truth of the Good News I try to live by is this: God loved the world so much that he gave his eternally begotten Son to become man, fully God and fully man, born of the Virgin Mary. This God-man, Jesus Christ, laid down his life for us and victoriously rose again, conquering sin and death. It was a rescue mission to save us from our sinful nature and to give us a new nature: Christ’s nature. I really believe the baptized faithful are born again, “sons in the Son.”

So I don’t just “go” to church. I’m a member, an organ, a part of the family. The Church is Christ’s mystical Body and Bride. She began with Christ in Mary, was established upon the rock of Peter, foremost of the Twelve Apostles who constitute the New Israel, is filled to bursting with the Holy Spirit, nourished on the Eucharist, and continues to live out her mission, the Great Commission, in apostolic succession…

A holy renaissance—that is my prayer. My life goal is to proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ with passion, without apology, and with love. This blog is a tiny part of that. I’m glad you’re here, and in general I hope nothing I say will be original.

In fact, if any words I’ve ever written should contradict the teaching of the one, holy, catholic, and apostolic Church, I will be the first to renounce them, split them into kindling, and throw them into the fire…and then ask you to do the same. Already, I have had to repent of several songs, poems, and more than a few paragraphs of what I’ve written in the past: though well-intended, I was just plain wrong (there is a downside to publishing young). I submit all my work humbly to Christ, who is known only in the Holy Spirit...and the Church is the mouthpiece of the Holy Spirit and the mystical Body of Christ. So I submit everything to the Church, even if it means I have to delete, repent, or let go.
